3. Mazda Furai
Furai is Japanese for 'the sound of the wind', but this concept certainly didn't stink Detroit out like a bad fart.
A beautiful race/road car based on a chassis used in the American Le Mans series, the Furai is what Mazda would make if it decided to add a supercar to its range. Zoom, and indeed, Zoom.
4. Fisker Karma
Henrik Fisker knows a little about designing sexy cars, having previously been chief designer at Aston Martin. But he's now added a sense of responsibility to the sexiness with a plug-in hybrid four-seater, called the Karma.
The California-based coachbuilder has announced that the car will go into production next year and, if the engineering is right, we think it could well prove to be the perfect blend of coolness and environmental concern.
