Aimed squarely at city dwellers, Toyota's Hi-CT is a boxy concept with a plug-in hybrid powertrain.
Its electric-only range should be enough for most commutes within even a major metropolis and the high driving position should give a good view of the jams up ahead.
And for those weekends out of town, when the 1.5-litre engine comes in handy, there's a removable boot and a deck for surfboards and bikes.
