The Pivo 2 is an evolution of the Pivo revealed at Tokyo two years ago. That tiny concept had a cabin that could rotate through 360 degrees, meaning it could reverse without any need for a reverse gear, and that feature reappears on the Pivo 2.
Like the original, the Pivo 2 gets its power from lithium-ion batteries. But the new one has an electric motor in each wheel and those wheels can turn through 90 degrees.
The Pivo 2 also comes with a robot head in the cabin. Fluent in Japanese and English, the Robotic Agent is the interface between driver and car, operating the audio and climate control, and suggesting suitable parking spaces.
