Its front-end design is slightly different from the Cee'd's, with a marginally longer nose, shallower grille, a wider and lower bumper with small spoiler, a deeper air intake and large foglights, plus slightly different headlights. It's 30mm lower, with a shallower windscreen, longer doors and a more steeply angled rear windscreen.
Interior practicality is aided by wider-opening doors and easy-release split-folding rear seats, which now fold without any need to remove the head restraints.
The Pro_cee'd goes on sale in the UK early next year, with the same five-engine choice as the five-door Cee'd and three trim levels. Options will include a sports pack that adds 17" alloy wheels, stiffer suspension, silver-stitched upholstery, alloy pedals and stainless steel door scuff plates.
