Forget the radio-controlled cars of your childhood, which would break in the first altercation with the dining room table; this electric four-wheel-drive monster truck will tackle almost anything you put in its way. As it's battery powered, it can be used inside and out and its almost silent running means you won't annoy the neighbours every time you tackle the rockery at full speed. Baja desert racer
No namby pamby batteries here: the £699.99 Baja 5B runs on good ol' unleaded, so it's strictly for use outside, preferably somewhere big and open.
