Italian leather, Italian design, Italian looks. You can't go wrong with a pair of Tod's.
OK, so they're not the cheapest shoes around, but wear a pair of Tod's and you might as well wear a sign around your neck saying 'I'm classy, me'. Made from fine quality leather and suede, Tod's driving shoes come in a number of different styles, all of which have those little rubber pads underneath to help them grip the billet aluminium pedals of your Ferrari F430. Or, indeed, your Focus.
The one rather strange thing we've found, though is that the sizes are all askew: depending on the style of shoe you try (with names evoking motoring such as Targa), the size is different. But apart from that, buy a pair of these for the motorist in your life and he'll fall at your feet in gratitude.
