Sony MEX-BT5000
Sony has come up with a couple of cracking hi-fi units that keep pace with the changes in music forced by the digital revolution.
The MEX-BT5000 is Sony's first Bluetooth head unit that has its own integrated microphone, enabling you to sync your phone and answer phone calls without having to reach for your phone. It also allows you to stream music from your phone or digital music player (if it has Bluetooth) and can also play MP3/WMA/Atrac discs.
Meanwhile the MEX-1GP goes even further down the digital music road, thanks to a detachable front panel with 1GB memory that can be plugged into your home PC to allow you to download music via USB for playback in the car. While we wait for the car companies to install hard drives on which to store our music, the MEX-1GP will do nicely.
