Fit a Scorpion air filter (£26), a Motech suspension kit (£200), lower it by 30-60mm, put on a Janspeed exhaust (£125) and get a 10 per cent power increase from a superchip (£200). For around £550* you should be able to lift engine power from 100 bhp to 115 bhp.
Fit a K&N air filter (£45), Tarox brake pads (£30), V-Spec sports exhaust (£160), grooved front brake discs (£116) and 40mm lower Bilstein suspension (£340). Just under £700* will nudge power up from 112 bhp to 117 bhp.
Fit a Jetex cone filter kit (£70), Powerflex suspension bushes (£14), Scorpion stainless steel exhaust system (£200). For less than £500* you can boost power by a massive 30 bhp, up from 120 bhp to 150 bhp.
Fit K&N air filters (£40), Mini Sport Superflow exhaust (£60), Stage 3 cylinder head (£320), and perhaps even a five-speed gearbox - no it hasn't got one already - (£1500). Forget the gearbox, and for less than £500* you can increase your Mini's power output by up to 20 bhp, from 62 bhp to 82 bhp - which is scarier than it seems.
Fit a K&N air filter (£40), Koni adjustable dampers (£86 each), G-Force vented front discs (£107) and a superchip (£200). For less than £700* you can buy an impressive 40 bhp, boosting power from 132 bhp to 172 bhp. Wow!
Install a performance camshaft (£210), a reflowed cylinder head (£390) and a new inlet manifold (£115). For just over £700* you can lift power from 115 bhp to 121 bhp.
