He may be the son of the man who just missed out on the most powerful job in the world and then campaigned for climate change with his film An Inconvenient Truth, but the need for speed was too great for little Al who was caught doing a tonne...in a Toyota Prius.
Kind of undermines the point of a Prius really.

Koenigsegg driver - 242mph
The unnamed driver of the Swedish-built supercar had been competiting in 2003 San Francisco to Miami Gumball 3000 when he was stopped in Texas travelling at 242mph in a 75mph zone.
It's all a world away from when film actor and director Harry Myers got the world's first speeding ticket in 1904 for going 12mph on a 10mph road on West Third Street in Dayton, Ohio.
