Ben Affleck - 114mph
The Pearl Harbor actor was tracked down by deputies after he was caught by police doing 114mph on a 70mph Interstate in Georgia. Affleck, apparently 'cooperated fully' with the officers and was given a ticket. A spokesman for the Georgia police was phlegmatic: 'We ticket thousands of people for speeding so we're not gonna make a big deal of it.'
Indeed the officers involved weren't that fussed either, unaware of Affleck's film-star status. The spokesman added: 'You'd have never known it was him. He had on an old mechanic's jacket with somebody else's name on it and a little round pair of glasses.'

Colin Montgomerie - 70mph
In December 2008 golfer Colin Montgomerie was fined £835 for driving his Bentley at 70mph in a 40mph zone. It was the third time the sportsman has been involved in court proceedings for allegedly driving too fast. The golfer told police: 'I did not realise I was going that fast. This car is too quick.'
The same year he was accused of driving at 88mph on the M80 near Falkirk, but the case was dismissed when Montgomerie was not served with a summons. In 2004 he was accused of travelling at 96mph, again on the A3, but the case collapsed when a policeman failed to attend court and in 2006 he was given three points for speeding.
