Legendary guitarist Clapton may have been dubbed 'slowhand' but clearly that absence of pace did not extend to his right foot. Clapton was stopped by French police after they clocked his Porsche 911 Turbo doing 134mph. He was given a £515 fine and his UK licence was confiscated.
After his suspension, instead of shooting the sheriff, he posed for photographs with the French police.

What is it about that Toyota Prius that makes well-known people want to break the law? Two-time Oscar winner Jodie Foster was stopped by police in her petrol-electric hybrid after she was clocked travelling 54mph in a 35mph zone.
The star of The Accused apparently grew agitated and kept insisting to the police officers that the radar gun must have made a mistake. A spokesperson for the Beverly Hills Police service confirmed: 'She was upset that she got pulled over, but she signed the ticket and went on her way.'
