This week Tom Riall, boss of speed camera company Serco, pleaded guilty to speeding - he had been caught doing more than 100mph on a 70mph A-Road.
Riall's company led a government-backed anti-speeding campaign called Safe Drive Stay Alive last year. After being caught doing 102mph in his 2.7-litre Volvo, Riall was contrite: 'I regret driving at this speed and will ensure I mitigate it in future. In my job, I understand the consequences of speed and want to apologise to the court.'
It was a huge embarrassment for Riall, but he isn't alone. Here are some high-profile people who have been caught speeding.

Princess Anne - 93mph
Princess Anne was fined £400 after admitting driving her Bentley at 93mph on a dual carriageway in Gloucestershire. As a result she was fined £400, ordered to pay £30 costs and her licence was endorsed with five penalty points by Cheltenham magistrates. The princess was on a dual carriageway near Cheltenham when a police car pulled out behind her. She said she thought the car was there to escort her and carried on.
The Princess Royal appears to have something of a heavy right foot. In November 1972 she was given a written warning after being clocked at up to 90mph on the M1. In January 1977 she was fined £40 for doing 96mph on the M1 and in October 1990 she was fined £150 and banned for one month by magistrates after admitting two separate speeding offences.
