The Cayenne is nothing short of sacrilege among true Porsche disciples. Big, ugly and heavy, the firm's first SUV was greeted with suspicion.
However, it became a huge money-spinner for Porsche and the reason it was able to afford to buy Volkswagen.
Sitting in one will make everyone hate and despise you, but there is a dark side to all of us that actually wants one. And why's that?

Simple: the Cayenne is riotous fun. Something this big shouldn't be this fast and agile. It's no sports car but it can certainly dice with some very quick cars.
Of course the fun will wear off almost as fast as the Porsche's terrifying ability to drain its tank. Every day you'll be fake-ticketed by the anti-4x4 brigade, so take our advice: attach huge 'hybrid' or 'hydrogen fuel cell' stickers to its flanks. That'll fool 'em.
