For a man famed for Aston Martins, dry Martinis and glamorous girls, it's surprising that it doesn't always go Bond's way when it comes to the cars he drives. Over the years he's saved the world while driving some downright bizarre company cars.
We trawl the best and worst James Bond movies to reveal Bond's hall of automotive shame.
Citroen 2CV 6 (For Your Eyes Only)
In one of the stranger beginnings to a car chase, our hero's Lotus Esprit self-destructs when the bad guys try to break in. This forces Bond, played by eyebrow-dancing supremo Roger Moore, to rely on his love interest's Citroen 2CV.
Now, we all love the Deux Chevaux, but as the chase unfolds it's hopelessly outclassed by the Peugeot 504s in pursuit. Instead of brute power, the Citroen has to rely on a bizarre barrel-rolling technique to beat the pair of Pugs down the mountain in a manner that's clearly undignified for Her Majesty's finest.
Ford Mondeo (Casino Royale)
Miseryguts Daniel Craig may have been lauded for dragging Bond kicking and screaming back to its Fleming roots, but his Bond is involved in one of the most toe-curling automotive placements of all time: the Ford Mondeo.
This was the world premiere of the new-generation Mondeo, something deemed so exciting that all action in the film was suspended as viewers were treated to a glossy car commercial, during which the Mondeo is driven from airport to hotel. Well done, everyone.
