Peugeot 205 GTi (1984-1993)
We are all, whether we like it or not, destined to be entering an age of efficiency and economy. The world is getting hotter and polar icecaps are getting smaller. So, in sporting terms cars like the Peugeot's 205 GTi were a wonderful signpost pointing towards the future. Pug's GTi was a lightweight, small-engined performance car that thrilled as much as a Lamborghini. Well, almost.
To many, the Peugeot is not only one of the stars of the 80s it's the finest hot hatch to have ever turned a wheel. It had everything: performance and beautiful proportions, thanks largely to the Italian design house, Pininfarina.
