Despite repeatedly turning the air blue in frustration at this collecting game's many, er, charms, we couldn't help coming back to this for just one more go as it's just about the right side of infuriating.

Yes, it's just a glorified Pac-Man with dumb cars instead of ghosts. And yes, you're not allowed behind the wheel yourself. But toddling around the snow in search of gold stars comes as quite a relief to us after wading through so many identikit drivers of late.

The brief is simple: pick up all the stars that are strewn randomly across the landscape. Don't get killed by one of the speeding motorists. Then go home.

Power-ups appear frequently, but the most useful by far is the clock icon that extends your time - you don't get much leeway on the harder levels otherwise. If you beat a level without losing a life, there's also a star-filled bonus round to pump up your score.

Controls
The arrow keys, plus a stress ball to endure the lengthy advertisements.

Tips
Despite taking away one of your lives, being run over isn't the end of the world, but running out of time is. Watch the clock like a hawk - and remember those power-ups.
