Vauxhall Vectra

Any idea just how cheap even the latest Vectra is? It may not be a car anyone gets excited about, but its massive depreciation makes it superb value as a second-hand purchase.

It's best-looking as an estate, too - as well as actually being longer than a Chrysler Voyager, and well laid-out inside, with cleverly flat-folding rear seats and a dividable load bay area.

Vauxhall offered plenty of worthwhile options, too, including adaptive forward lighting and an electrically operated tailgate (which can be locked in a part-open position).

At the estate's launch we reckoned it was the best such model in its class. So why didn't more people buy one?
