The tendency for a car to push straight on in corners instead of turning in the desired direction. Usually due to an excess amount of speed over grip/traction and more likely in a front-wheel drive vehicle. [See also: Oversteer]

Gives greater control over valve opening and closing, with hydraulic actuation of inlet and exhaust valves instead of a spinning mechanical camshaft, and each valve is independently controllable. Suitable for both petrol and diesel engines.
