New list price: £80,000
Price from today: £40,000 (2003/53)
Vital stats: 155mph, 0-62mph 5.5secs, 445bhp
6.0-litre V12, 445bhp and 60mph in 5.5 seconds. Price to you, sir? Half what it was in 2003. That's right; the first owner of this car has effectively given away a BMW M3-sized hill of cash, all in the pursuit of the ultimate driving machine. And we bet they still weren't able to master iDrive in that time.
It's quite some car, the big BMW. Plenty say quite ugly, but you can't ignore its presence, particularly in black. It's tech-laden to a dazzling degree, a perfect example of BMW doing things because they can, not because they need to. You'll never be let out of a junction ever again, but with 600lb-ft of torque, we'd fancy your chances of making your own gaps. Just one word of warning; you can buy a 10-year-old 750i for under £5,000 now...
