You should find the best of the best at Audi dealers, either ex-management examples or part exchanges with full history. A 2004 225 Coupe under the approved scheme will be £19,499.
There are several well-known TT specialists, which are also a good place to find your next TT. Many of them make a good living with left-hand drive imports from Europe, which they can then sell at a temptingly low price. That remains the cheapest way to get into a TT. A 2000 180 Roadster is just £9,495 in left-hand drive.
You could also take a look in some upmarket classified ads, where you should find pages and pages of private TTs for sale. For some reason, that does not seem to make them that much cheaper, with a 2004 3.2V6 DSG at around £20,000. You certainly should not be paying dealer retail price, even with a full service history, for the simple reason that they won't be offering warranties or any other back-up. There will inevitably be personally imported examples from Europe and these should ideally be UK specification or better. Take the VIN number and phone Audi UK to double-check.
