There's a few other trick bits on it. The original wheels were 15-inch steelies. A wheelsmith in town made 17-inch aluminium wheels for me but by painting the outside of the rim black they look like 15-inchers.
Driving it is amazing. It's wonderful how it hooks up and it has the ability to lay down a huge strip of rubber in each gear which is phenomenal for a 4400lb car. The great thing is that it drives like a modern car but looks like my old car.

But there was one thing I'd forgotten. To go back, get my wife and try and recreate some of the magic of the Seventies. It was the car I drove whilst dating Mavis.
There's a housing development where she and I used to drive for our 'special moments'. But we were determined to go back and try and recreate that first time. Anyway we ended up in some guy's driveway! It was as close as we could get to the original spot. Trying to do in your 50s what you did in your 20s is tricky. It's like: "Ooooow, get off my hair," or "Ow, my back!" Anyway, we accidentally hit the horn and the house lights came on. The owner came out wondering what the hell was happening, saying, "Hey, whaddaya doin' out there. Who's out there?" So it wasn't quite the same as 30 years earlier. Sometimes you can't quite go back to the old times, I guess. But you sure can have fun trying! Jay Leno was talking to Jeremy Hart
