The Roomster has more conventional side doors than the asymmetrical concept first seen at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2003, but still promises a spacious interior and flexible layout. Its seating system allows for a two-, three-, four- or five-seater configuration, with a large cargo area and high roof. Rear-seat passengers sit high, for a good view out and the large rear windows help to keep the cabin light and airy.
The Roomster will feature front and side airbags, with options including a full-length glass roof, adaptive halogen headlamps and fog lamps with 'cornering' beams. It goes on sale in mainland Europe this summer, with UK sales starting towards the end of the year.
