The Chevrolet Epica is effectively a successor to the Daewoo Leganza and the latest, Europeanised version of the Daewoo/Chevrolet Magnus/Epica/Evanda, aka the Suzuki Verona, sold in North America and some other markets.
The Epica comes with an all-new straight-six 2.0-litre petrol engine (142bhp) or a 2.0-litre diesel (150bhp) and will go on sale in the UK later this year. A five-speed auto gearbox will be optional.
Chevrolet promises 'a comprehensive range of comfort and safety equipment as standard', a 'high-quality soft-feel' interior and 'exceptional value for money' - which has to be good, as initial pictures suggest it's not the prettiest. Safety kit will include side and head airbags.
