The Smart Roadster is about to be axed - although a British sports car maker has signed a deal with DaimlerChrysler to purchase a licence to continue to make it.
The restart of Roadster production, under a different brand name, is still some way off, however, so until then, Roadster-lovers will snap up the Collector's Edition models.
These have the engine as in the former 101bhp Brabus versions, lowered sports suspension, 17" alloy wheels and front and rear spoilers. There's one colour-scheme only - silver structural elements with matt brown body panels - with a brown leather interior.
Prices for these models have not yet been announced.
