Tata Cliffrider
Indian manufacturer Tata, an increasingly strong force in the global automotive market, has ambitions to expand its as-yet undistinguished presence in Europe.
Its Cliffrider concept is described by the company as a 'multipurpose, multi-terrain lifestyle crossover', offering a SUV with pick-up-style functionality. It's meant to demonstrate Tata's intentions to offer products in more sectors and, while it's the company didn't explicitly talk about European sales, its proposed engines are Euro-IV compliant.
Tata aims to make the Cliffrider available in two- or four-wheel-drive versions, with the options of V6 petrol and common rails diesel engines.
Other options would include multiple airbags, ABS, traction control and navigation control.
The interior is quite bold in its looks, but unfortunately the poor quality finish of the show car doesn't instil a great deal of confidence for the production model, if it comes to fruition.
