Toyota has taken the roof off its Aygo city car to create a sporty roadster concept.
The Aygo for Sports is a two-seater with curved rollover bars, huge 17" wheels and LED lights. It's also completely roofless and styled with a beach theme - the seats are Neoprene-covered (like wetsuit material) with beige leather inserts, the steering wheel also has Neoprene sections and the floor is teak wood, 'in the best tradition of classic speedboats,' says Toyota. It's all finished off in Ocean Blue paint.
It's unlikely that the Aygo for Sports is anything more than an eye-catching show car to draw attention to the tin-topped Aygo range - though we wouldn't completely rule out a more conventional tiddling roadster, with folding roof, of some kind.
