The Pivo is a futuristic battery-powered city car designed in partnership with Japanese artist Takashi Murakami.
Its pod-like cabin can revolve 360 degrees - so you need never reverse-park again. It is able to do this thanks to electronic by-wire systems, which eliminate the need for traditional driveshafts and mechanical axles.
Its battery is a new lithium-ion design, with a much longer range between recharging than batteries used in earlier electric vehicles.
Other technology showcased in the pivoting Pivo includes Nissan's new Around View monitor, with exterior cameras viewing the car's blind spots and projecting images onto screens on the inside of the A-pillars, and dash-mounted infra-red controls for the sat nav and stereo.
