The all-new Kia Rio was the star of the Kia stand at the Geneva motorshow, with no fewer than five examples on display. It's freshly styled and has been brought up to date with three new engines. A turbodiesel will now be an option for Rio buyers, and four- and five-door models will be available. The new Rio has been stretched wider and taller for 2005, but the overall length is down despite a longer wheelbase than the old car. Specification levels and roominess will be highly competitive and are much improved over the old Rio.
Absent from the Kia stand was the revised Sedona MPV, which was shown at the Chicago show in February, this will go on sale in 2006, therefore we can expect to see it at the Frankfurt show in September.
