Peugeot prides itself on its concept cars always working when they are built and today it has gathered most of them from the last four decades at the historic Montlhéry Autodrome on the edge of Paris.
The historic banked circuit is used as a test facility nowadays and the ancient banking is threatened with demolition, but right now it's not only intact (and as bumpy as ever), it's also our driving venue.
Although some of the concepts no longer run, both the oldest and the youngest are moving happily under their own power.
One of these cars has been here before. It's the oldest car here, the 1965 Peugeot 404 Diesel record-breaker that took 40 diesel speed and endurance records over two days' continuous running on these very banked curves. I managed to score a drive in this historic Peugeot.
