Most people in their forties will remember Datsun and wonder what happened to such a famous Japanese brand. Well, in 1983 parent company Nissan decided to axe Datsun - a regrettable decision since Datsun was responsible for some fantastic cars particularly the 240Z.

The Nissan 350Z, launched in 2001 was the spiritual successor to the 240Z until Nissan replaced it with the 370Z this year (2009). Nissan has been an innovator - it created the hatchback-cum-SUV the Qashqai, the Cube and the bonkers concept, the Pivo 2.
