Why buy one?

It looks really classy and it's the model Saab always gets exactly right. Plus, it's a decent size, so friends can enjoy the ride. Safe, quick (if you want one with a big engine), but mostly it just does the posing job relatively inexpensively.

What to look for

Full service history, because fixing neglected Saabs is a wallet-emptying affair. Timing chains should last well into six figures, but some don't, so listen out for rattly engine. Air conditioning often neglected and needs overhauling. Watch out for oil leaks.

Where to buy

Popular company and private buy. Specialist Saab garages have good examples at sensible prices, but also consider owners who can show you a full service history.
