Some 16 years after it was first launched, Mazda revives the MX-5 for the 21st Century.
Still front-engined - and, more importantly, still rear-wheel-drive - the MX-5 rewards every driver with sublime control and delivery regardless of whether you see yourself as a B-road blaster, or a crowd-pleasing cruiser. Some more masculine styling details attempt to shake off the "hairdresser" image - and do their job, just about.
If you enjoy wind-in-your-hair motoring, then it doesn't come much better than an MX-5.
