Get the top-spec Aventura double cab and you can forget about blue-collar labour. Standard equipment includes sat nav, Bluetooth phone connection, CD changer, automatic headlights and a host of other kit raises the Pathfinder-based Navara to boardroom status. Even the humbler models are well kitted out.
The pick-up itself is just as good. The 2.5-litre diesel cranks out an impressive 169bhp and 297lb ft of torque for eye-opening overtaking, and there's lots of space both inside and round the back.
The Detroit-inspired front-end still looks fabulous, but the Nissan has been beaten on driveability by the new L200. It's better than the old Navara, but the constant vibrations from underneath do get tiring.
