Enjoyment and responsibility go hand in hand for Volvo, so although the new model is an innovative and ultimately fun product, it is also an environmentally sound one.
Meanwhile, wherever possible, the Volvo C70 has been made from recycled materials - the engine block, for example, is made from recycled aluminium - while all plastic parts of more than 50 grammes in mass are marked so that they can be recycled in future. Volvo is also very clear about the environmental impact of its products - it was among the first manufacturers to use tools to evaluate the impact of its products and publishes its EPS (Environmental Priority Strategies) on its website at www.volvocars.co.uk. No wonder, then, that each new Volvo is backed by an environmental declaration from Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance Limited (LQRA) of London.
