Cynthia's Q&A

Describe Wedding House in one word.
Modern.

If a Martian came to earth, how would you describe your job to him in one sentence or less?
I unite two people together in an ultimate bond that will hopefully last as long as they are both living.

Finish the sentence: true love is...
...Out there for everyone.

Do you believe in love at first sight?
Yes. I have experienced love at first sight. Your heart is beating so fast that you think it's going to fall out of your chest.

Which moment in the series touched you the most?
Difficult to answer as there were so many great moments on the show. I must have cried about a dozen times because of different situations. One of the civil partnerships was a proper tearjerker and the renewal of vows was so poignant it turned us all into weeping wrecks. The couple who re-enacted the Dirty Dancing routine was amazing to watch. Just the way a couple look at each other can really touch you.

You may kiss the bride: tongues or no tongues?
I don't mind as long as the affection is genuine.

What is the worst thing a wedding guest can do?
Stand up and say they believe there is a lawful impediment to the marriage or civil partnership.

If money was no object, what would your dream wedding look like?
The love of my life opposite me with all my family and friends around me smiling and happy. Lots of colour and the venue set in lovely grounds.

Why should people get married?
It's the ultimate commitment you can make to someone you love.

Give us your best wedding wisdom.
Make sure you are getting married for love.

What kind of music do you walk down life's aisle to?
Reggae, because that is the music I grew up with and what I first saw couples in love dancing to. I have danced to reggae many times when I have been in love.

Who do you love, honour and obey the most - in that order?
I love my children, honour my parents and obey no one!

Which three celebs, living or dead, would you seat on your top table?
Martin Luther King, Harry Hill, Michelle Obama.

If you had a magic power, what would it be?
Invisibility. How great that would be, to be able to listen to people's conversations!
