I don't wear lipstick but like a little bit of colour on my lips - can you recommend a non-sticky lip gloss? Sharon
You can't beat a bit of lip gloss. It instantly makes your lips look fuller and if you choose a good shade for your colouring, it will brighten up your complexion. Max Factor was the first brand to bring out lip gloss back in 1930 and today we are spoilt for choice.
However, finding the perfect lip gloss can be a challenge; some can be too sticky or gloopy. Below are some of my favourites.
No7 Poppy King Lip Gloss - £11
This gloss gives a lovely, non-sticky sheen to your lips. When applied, the gloss feels silky and moisturising; it doesn't sit on your lips looking gloopy. Poppy King has created a good range of very wearable colours.
Bobbi Brown Rich Colour Gloss - £14.50
Bobbi Brown do great lip products – in my opinion, they get it right every time. Their Rich Colour Glosses are creamy in texture and very long-lasting compared to other glosses. They give the same amount of colour as you'd get from a lipstick but don't dry out the lips.
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss - £6.99
This is a good everyday lip gloss. It gives a great finish without feeling sticky, and has just enough colour.
Rimmel Vinyl Max - £5.49
If your lips resemble Angelina Jolie's then you'll like this lip gloss from Rimmel. The wand is about three times as big as a normal wand, so you get more product onto the lip in one application. It also gives a high-shine finish.
MeMeMe Light Me Up High Shine Lipgloss - £6.99
This doesn't feel sticky at all and is highly pigmented, so you'll get good colour on your lips. The wand has two little lights attached, which personally I find a bit distracting when applying, but some people like it!
